Our client is looking for a temporary Housing Options Assistant to work within the Homeless Services. The post is full time for 12 months and will support the Housing Options Team. The pay is £10.30 per hour
Applicants need to:
- Be an excellent communicator you will enjoy talking with a wide and varied range of customers both internal and external to the organisation.
- Have a broad understanding of issues and needs of homeless customers, national housing agenda, housing benefit, other welfare benefits & debt issues.
- Be able to deal with sensitive situations with tact and stay calm under pressure.
The work is varied and in addition to communicating with customers involves data inputting, monitoring and statistical recording. You will have worked in a frontline customer services previously, have a broad understanding of needs of homeless customers, be financial and computer literate and have experience of working in a busy office environment.
