WorkwithYork are working with major Local Authority clients to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Interim Group Manager for Safeguarding Interventions.
York is a great city (recently voted the best place in Britain to live). Its culture, geography, lively and diverse community make it a great place for children and families to live. Children’s Services are determined that the most vulnerable children and young people share this experience.
In November 2016 York was rated as Good by the Ofsted Single inspection. However they are not complacent and are moving into the next phase in the delivery of their vision for children and families.
The authority developed an innovative model for delivering child in need services which has attracted national attention. This service, which is part of the safeguarding interventions group, ensures that children, young people and their families receive focussed and timely help and support.
To assist them with this we are seeking a passionate and experienced group manager for this interim position responsible for all areas of Safeguarding and Child Protection. It is essential that you have court experience as you will oversee and provide guidance on Child Protection court processes/cases. Recent experience of managing Ofsted processes would also be helpful.
