You will:-

Work with adults with care and support needs to undertake Safeguarding Enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act.

Hold a caseload of complex cases working with adults with care and support needs to undertake safeguarding enquiries.

Act as Duty worker within the Adult Safeguarding Team to triage referrals to assess immediate safety, determine eligibility for AST and provide advice and information.

You must be able to demonstrate :-


•A relevant professional qualification (eg social work)

•A thorough understanding of adults safeguarding work and its principles

•An ability to gather and analyse information

•Good case load management and communication skills

•Experience of successful working with partner agencies

•An empathetic, organised, and adaptable approach with the highest professional standards.


Applicants available part-time may be considered for these temporary roles and  unqualified staff with considerable safeguarding experience may also be considered.

You must be registered with the General Social Care Council (GSCC)/Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC), proof of this will need to be supplied at interview.
