Exciting times are ahead with some really positive additions to the team, helping us to grow and develop the business. 

We have two newly appointed Non Executive Directors who are proving invaluable assets to our business, offering expertise in HR and recruitment.

 

James Grewer – Non Executive Director

James joined CYT as a Non Executive Director in February 2017.  His career for the last 25 years has been focused within Human Resources where he held senior HR roles. 

He has operated in a variety of industries in the private sector spanning retail, fmcg, construction and hotel & leisure.

James lives in Appleton Roebuck with his family, he is a keen swimmer and a fair weather cyclist.

 

Phill McTaggart – Non Executive Director

Phill joined CYT as a Non-Executive Director in February 2017. 

He is a business consultant, coach and mentor who works with organisations throughout Yorkshire to support innovation and develop high growth strategies.  Phill has held senior roles in local government, the food retail sector, and ran a large national recruitment company for many years. He has considerable experience in mergers and acquisitions and has been involved in several major contract negotiations within the recruitment sector.

Phill lives six miles north of York, is a keen collector of Japanese art and enjoys building and gardening projects.

 

Kate Anderson – Business Development Manager

Kate started at CYT in March 2017 as Business Development Manager. Kate has worked across a variety of recruitment settings including ‘in-house’, public sector, specialist boutique agencies, high volume healthcare recruitment and most recently Apprenticeships. Kate is keen to implement her wealth of experience to the WorkwithYork offering to enable the business to generate revenue from new diverse and previously un-tapped sectors.

Based in York, Kate is a lover of all things ‘outdoors’ and can most often be found up a ‘Wainwright’ or tucked away in a nice country pub vowing to never climb another mountain again, ever…….until next time.

 

Jack Green – Digital Marketing Apprentice

Jack was taken on as our Apprentice in February to support the marketing function and utilise his social media skills to build our presence, across different social media platforms.

Jack is a successful singer/songwriter from York and has a lot of experience in social media management with a combined online following of over 100,000 people, promoting his work.  He used his social media skills to plan a six-date UK tour in February 2016, selling out two of the shows in Cardiff and Birmingham. 

Jack is a nominee for the Best Young Breakthrough Act at the South East Entertainment Awards 2017 in recognition of his skills in using social media to develop a brand, promote a strong image and use online tools to target specific audiences directly.
