Community Short Breaks Worker required – weekday afternoons 3.30pm – 5.30pm.
£10.30 per hour
Community Short Breaks support disabled children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, difficulties with communication, complex health care needs or physical disabilities, enabling them to be involved in social and leisure activities.
We are currently seeking Community Short Breaks Workers on an ongoing casual basis to support an 8 year old boy with autism and ADHD. He is an active boy who enjoys walks, exploring new places, play parks and toys.
Supporting alongside his parents and/or a fellow community short breaks worker in his home (location – north York) as well as in the community, after school in the afternoons, you’ll work closely with CAMHS and other professionals.
Experience of autism and challenging behaviour is needed – either in a paid, voluntary or personal capacity – and additional training will be provided.
