Community Short Breaks Worker required – 4 hours per week on a Saturday 9-1pm.
£10.30 per hour
We are looking for someone to support an active young boy within the home as well as in the community. The successful applicant will be working alongside another Community Short Breaks Worker.
This young man is a skilled tennis player and you would be an important part of him developing his skills and increasing his access to tennis sessions. His likes and dislikes change over time but, he is likely to enjoy activities such as; swimming and being outdoors (for example, exploring woodlands).
Experience of working with children with complex needs is desirable but additional training will be provided.
This young man has epilepsy and a medical condition which is ever changing. He can become anxious and unsettled.
Due to his medical or emotional needs, he will need lots of preparation for activities, reassurance during your time with him and 1:1 supervision at all times. In extreme situations, he may need medication to be administered and this may be part of your responsibilities.
