Community Short Breaks Worker required – weekday mornings and evenings.
£10.30 per hour
Community Short Breaks is a short break scheme for disabled children and young people who may have learning disabilities, autism, difficulties with communication, complex health care needs or physical disabilities.
We are seeking Community Short Breaks workers on a casual basis paid at £10.30 per hour.
We are looking to recruit a team of people to support an 8 year old boy with autism and ADHD. He is an active boy who enjoys walks, exploring new places, play parks and toys.
You would be supporting alongside his parents and/or a fellow community short breaks worker in the home as well as in the community, over morning and evening shifts. You will be working closely with CAMHS and other professionals. Some experience of autism is desirable but full training will be given.
We are looking for workers who are available on weekday mornings and evenings. Days and times are flexible, however you would ideally be available for the following;
Experience of working with children with complex needs is desirable but additional training will be provided.
