The evening of 12 February 2015 was cold and dark but at the Monk Bar Hotel the atmosphere was positively electric as the first WorkwithYork and WorkwithSchools temporary staff awards began. Guests were greeted with a Bucks Fizz reception and then to the main event! The Lord Mayor and the Civic party were amongst the guests of honour - our temporary staff being the main guests of honour of course.
Winners and guests A well earned glass of wine
Awards were presented by our lovely sponsors Gough & Kelly, Streamline Taxis, Ebor Academy Alliance , Stupid Tuesday Promotions and York St John University with Councillor Ian Gillies, the previous Lord Mayor, presenting a special team award. Thanks to the Monk Bar Hotel for their excellent buffet and thanks to the enthusiastic dancing afterwards from our temporary staff and a few nifty moves from the WorkwithYork and WorkwithSchools teams – maybe a dance off next year between the respective teams???
Over 140 people were nominated for awards by our clients. All shortlisted nominees and a guest were invited to the evening and winners were announced on the night receiving their very own Star Trophies and a £50 shopping voucher.

A big thank you to your team for last night’s event. The room looked lovely and I could see the effort you and your team put in.
Thanks very much for the ceremony last week. I thought it went really well, and I imagine a great deal of work went into organising it.
It’s my first day back at work since the Awards Evening and I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed it. The venue and food was marvellous as was the organisation! Carole (one of the support staff who works with us) winning was the icing on the cake but we would have still thought it was a great evening”! Thank you very much for organising it.
